Bonjour! If you are ready to learn French you've just found the perfect place to start. Our enthusiastic teachers will introduce you to this beautiful language and get you speaking French phrases in no time! Our classes are engaging and fun, with a friendly atmosphere, designed to help you feel confident and learn quickly.
So if you don't know any French at all or if you know a few words or phrases and are keen to learn more, French Level 1 is the course for you. It will give you the confidence to communicate with anyone proficient in French on a basic skill level, starting with useful key phrases and vocabulary to get you speaking from the very first lesson.
We concentrate on practical basic conversation skills, which are very helpful for common travelling scenarios. Plus, you'll also get an introduction to grammar and French related cultural topics.
This course covers a wide range of subjects including greetings, basic conversational expressions, numbers, the time, ordering food and drinks, transport and accommodation, asking for directions, the body and clothing to name just a few.
You'll also be invited to attend events where you can meet native French speakers to further practise your new language skills and exchange cultural information. These events include cooking and dance classes, film festivals, art exhibitions, visits to restaurants and much more.
The MultiCultural Language Centre offers classes for people wishing to learn French, Spanish and Italian in a relaxed and professional environment. Our language courses are aimed at a broad range of students, from those wishing to pick-up foreign language skills for overseas travel or business purposes, to those who just want to have fun learning a second language!

Our Courses.
Our courses are carefully structured to facilitate communication in both spoken and written forms. Classes are taught with various activities which involve real life situations, offering students the confidence to express themselves from the very first lesson.
All of our teachers at the MultiCultural Language Centre are native speakers of the language they teach, and are highly dedicated professionals committed to delivering each course in the best possible way. Classes are comprised of a small number of students, allowing teachers to focus on key areas such as pronunciation and other tasks at a much more personalised level.
A Calendar of MultiCultural Events.
Learning a language at the MultiCultural Language Centre isn't just about turning up to class! We also have a range of extra-curricular activities for our students to participate in, so why not enjoy an afternoon with us at one of our cultural events?
You might pick-up some fantastic phrases at the French film festival, or digest some useful vocabulary at our Italian food night, or perhaps learn some Spanish lingo while dancing at the salsa expo! The MultiCultural Language Centre aims to make learning a new language an opportunity to experience the vibrant culture that native speakers of that language enjoy!
We love organising events for our students, so they can meet people from different parts of the world who they can practise their new language skills with, in a fun and sociable environment. Photographs of these events can be seen on our Facebook page.
This course aims to develop basic skills in understanding and communicating in French by introducing a range of basic vocabulary, grammar and sentence patterns. A supportive and interactive approach is used to encourage the development of conversational skills and a gradual increase in the active.
French classes are offered from beginners to advanced level by La Lingua Language School.
Through a complimentary first session, we will discuss and understand precisely the kind of support your child needs. I will then design activities that will allow him/her to get fast and steady progress.
Learn French through our day or night classes: these French classes are small in size for maximum learning. Learn French through our French-related social events, which encourage Listening and Speaking practice.
A francophile group with a dozen devotees form an informal friendship and social club in Hobart called “Le Cercle Français” (The French Circle). The French Circle gradually expands in membership and activities, formalizing its status by the adoption of a 15-article Constitution.
