Come and enjoy a week in the woods learning how to make your own chair. Suitable for all levels of experience. You will take home the chair you’ve made!
You do not need any prior experience to come on this course. There is a progression from one joint to the next, and some basic skills are repeated in later joints. You do not have to attend every session, but it is recommended that you do in order to develop and build upon your skills. Â
Diploma in Wood Occupations is offered by TAM Training for all skill level. You’ll do more than just study in a classroom. We’ll use real life work situations, case studies and practice tests to make sure you can apply your new knowledge to the work environment.
Dexterity is practiced using hand tools and small power tools, with a strong understanding of health and safety being built in to all learning.
The Builder Training Centre (The BTC) offers high quality structured Carpentry Courses, which can be attended as a 5 day course during the week (Monday to Friday) or, for those that have commitments during the week, a weekend course (2 consecutive weekends). Â
