This course runs parallel with the Carpentry and Joinery Level 1 Diploma course. Please note you will be studying on both courses as they are mandatory for your qualification.

Level 1 introduces the learner to carpentry and joinery skills. It allows students to learn, develop and practise their practical ability and construction knowledge with a mixture of theory and practical sessions which develops the learner at their own pace.
The course covers eight HN Units at Advanced Level Carpentry and Joinery. Your knowledge and experience will be enhanced in a wide variety of construction, woodworking principles and techniques.
You can learn a variety of different skills with us, depending on your interests. Courses include Woodwork, DIY, Special Project Courses, Spray Painting, Upcycling and Upholstery and holiday and home education classes for 7-16 year olds.
This course is more physically demanding than carving a spoon, so would serve as a natural progression for those who have done some carving before. However keen first timers are always welcome!
Diploma in Wood Occupations is offered by TAM Training for all skill level. You’ll do more than just study in a classroom. We’ll use real life work situations, case studies and practice tests to make sure you can apply your new knowledge to the work environment.
