Course Details

Pattern Cutter is unique within the UK clothing industry. Perfect Patterns is a course where you will learn the fundamentals of pattern making and designing.

You will be introduced into stitching using industrial machines and shown how to draft blocks and then use the blocks to create your own patterns. There is also an element of creative illustrations too for your patterns and styles.

This course is designed to support learners to develop their skills in pattern cutting recognised in the industry. You will extend your pattern cutting skills using industrial methods and techniques through a series of demonstrations and practical application.

 

Qualifications on completion

  • Certificate in Skills for Creative Industries

 

Entry requirements

  • You will need to complete our BKSB assessment and achieve English and Math at Level 1.

 

Progression

  • You can progress onto our L2 Pattern Cutting course.

We can chat through how classes work and what projects you will sew. Once you are ready to start, we’ll check availability and book you in to your first machine sewing class! Classes run Wednesdays to Fridays with limited space on Saturdays.
