This course is designed to support learners to develop their skills in pattern cutting recognised in the industry. You will extend your pattern cutting skills using industrial methods and techniques through a series of demonstrations and practical application.
DurationPattern Cutter is unique within the UK clothing industry. Perfect Patterns is a course where you will learn the fundamentals of pattern making and designing.
You will be introduced into stitching using industrial machines and shown how to draft blocks and then use the blocks to create your own patterns. There is also an element of creative illustrations too for your patterns and styles.

You will need to complete our BKSB assessment and achieve English and Math at Level 1.

Wet felting creates a background of wool. Dry Felting is the craft of using barbed needles to matt wool into pictures and creative shapes. Embellishing with stitch, making felted vessels and beads can all be covered in this whole day of colour and creation.
Sewing classes are offered by Chic Ribbon Scroll for all skill level. Suitable for beginners and intermediates to build and improve your existing skills.
Come along to our big Sewing de-stash! Bring along any unwanted sewing supplies/fabric/beads/ribbon etc and sell it in your space. Others can buy from you and build their stash from your unwanted items!
In this class you'll use some of the basic stitches you learnt in the beginners class and see how to enhance your work further, with the use of mixed media, such as paint, natural materials and 3D elements.
This course is aimed at absolute beginners who would like to start making clothes, cushions, bags, alterations etc and want to learn a wide range of sewing and construction techniques on a weekly basis to enable them to go onto do this.
