West Side Music Academy joined the West Seattle community in 1998 , when owners, Chris and Cami MacDonald, began teaching lessons from their home on SW Dakota Street. Today WSMA boasts a great line-up of vibrant teachers offering a wide variety of lessons as well as group classes.
All of our teachers are experienced musicians who are actively performing and recording while guiding budding musicians. Each teacher has their own unique way of drawing out the creative juices.
Students involved in the W.O. Smith private lesson program are offered one-on-one instruction once a week with a qualified volunteer teacher.
We're now next door to "Atomic Tatoo" directly accross the street from "Burnet Express" Grocery store.
This class is designed to be a completely pressure free, fun and relaxed atmosphere for adult guitar enthusiasts. Adult students learn the fundamental skills of guitar playing in a relaxed, supportive group atmosphere
