Gymnastics (Tumbling Tigers)

Having worked in the private childcare sector for nearly seven years now and being Manager for two years I decided I wanted to get back on the floor with the children as this where I find the most fulfilment in my life. With my training and higher education diploma in childhood studies I had a thought one night.

I loved Gymnastics when I was little even getting to the national finals where I came third. How can I combine my Gymnastics skills and childcare knowledge to make something completely unique that will benefit children on a holistic scale.

That’s when it came to me Pre-School Gymnastic classes, so I started on my venture drafting out a business plan and with the help of my wonderful father putting together a cash flow projection. I booked my training with British Gymnastics and set about looking for funding.

 Six months later I have my business model, loan, qualifications to start my business venture and get back on the floor with children helping them understand the importance of exercise, socialising and reliving the dream I had when I was a little girl.. Just in a different context allowing children to enjoy and benefit from Gymnastics!!

A big thank you to my father without him I would have been lost in the process, my mother who created our name “Ready Steady Gymnastics”, my best friend Michelle Kelly who is established book writer and helped me with my business plan, and all my friends and family who have supported me through my journey and of course “Start Up Direct” who helped me fund making my idea/dream come true.
