Hair Braider Pre-enrollment Requirements:
Be at least 16 years of age
Copy of State ID or DL
Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent
Provide a sealed official high school transcript or GED equivalent
Fill out an application

Our student salon is here to serve you
The student salon is available to serve the community’s needs. Whether you are looking to get box braids, feed in braids, loc maintenance, or a wig installed; we have you covered. Stop in and let us know your needs. Services are on a first come first served basis. Salon hours are 10am-5pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Hair Extensions course is offered by Kor Beauty Academy for advance level. Our educators provide the tools to successfully complete our program. Kor Beauty Academy will not only teach you the basics of cosmetology, but you will also learn the business aspects of the industry.
Hairdressing & Cosmetology courses are taught by New York State licensed instructors and will fully prepare you to take the New York State Board Exam.
This course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. It also includes all the basic principles of sanitation and clinic sanitation procedures, disinfection, shampooing, simple braiding techniques as it relates to tension on the hair and scalp, state law, anatomy.
This class helps familiarize makeup students with the process of basic hairstyling. The skills learned in this class will complement the makeup techniques learned in other classes to help make the student into a more well-rounded stylist.
