My personal love affair with hairstyling began over 50 year ago when I picked up my first pair of shears. After many years of working as a platform artist, educator, and as a salon entrepreneur.
I combined all my experiences and knowledge of this lucrative trade and envisioned building a school that displays and encourages the virtuosity of this craft.
Over 35 years ago, Marca College was established; and words cannot express the gratification I feel when I see our students grow into accomplished artists that shape the future of this art and inspire others to looks and feel great.
The Academy of Excellence facility is designed to replicate a professional spa and salon. Students work on guests in a professional environment, giving them the tools and experiences to be able to walk straight out of our training into this exciting industry as a fully qualified Hair Stylist.
This first session consists of an introduction to the basic techniques for an overview of the world of hairdressing. This first exploration of the universe of hair stylists was designed for a beginner in hairdressing who wants to practice in the field of photoshoots and filming.
Gain essential career skills in our on-site salon using professional tools and products to specialize in haircutting, barbering techniques, styling, self-promotion, retail, salon management, chemical texture services, hair coloring services, extensions, and wigs.
All of the courses will cover the same agenda and follow the same curriculum, allowing students to learn at their own pace. We offer all cosmetology courses in Calgary.
Our students learn within a salon-like environment that creates a real-life setting for your work. We believe in small class sizes that provide the one-on-one attention you need to excel.
