This course prepares graduates to pass the State Board exam, become licensed barbers and begin working in the industry. Upon satisfactory completion of the Barbering program, the graduate will receive a Diploma.

Hair Design is the study of hair styling, shampooing hair, chemical hair relaxers or straighteners, permanent waves, coloring and highlighting of hair, and wig treatments.
Production makeup artists must be able to style hair. This course teaches hair styling techniques for commercial, editorial, and fashion work. Fundamentals of hairstyling, from basic blow-drying to intricate up-dos prepare students for production work.
In this course, students are trained and can expect to learn how to cut, color, and style both men's and women's hair. Â This course is slightly different than the full cosmetology course. Â Hair Design students learn the art of hairstyling.
The primary objective of the Barbering Program is to prepare students for the state licensing examination to become a licensed Barber. A licensed barber’s opportunities include working in beauty salons, resort hotels and the opportunity to own his or her own salon.
Our in-house educator, Kelley Alba, will spend an hour with you; helping you learn how to blowdry/curl your hair...using the right products and tools! It's a blast! We currently carry Kevin Murphy.
