Hairdressing

This qualification is designed to serve as an introduction to the hairdressing industry and provide the student with the basics of hairdressing.

Admission Requirements:

• Grade 9
• Fluent in English
• Has to attend a personal Interview session

Exceptions:

• A Higher Certificate of Advanced Certificate in a cognate field will also be considered for admission.
• Applicants from foreign countries are required to have their qualifications verified by the South-African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Mode Of Instruction:

• Class contact sessions combined with work-integrated learning opportunities to combine theory and real-world practice.
• After obtaining all three certificates a student will have to register to complete a Trade Test Examination.
• If successful they will then be deemed Qualified. The Trade Exam is assessed externally by the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) and not part of the course fees.
