Sillage Hair Academy caters for those who want to obtain the QCTO accredited certificate – ******: Hairdresser Qualification.
Students attend lectures full-time for 1 year for the knowledge and practical modules.
Students then work in a SARS registered hairdressing salon to complete their workplace practical skills hours experience. This is a two-year apprenticeship under contract.
As an alternative, the student works under contract in a hairdressing salon for 3 years and attends lectures one day weekly, to obtain the required qualification. The learner must complete this course and supply Sillage with a certified copy before the NQF level 4 summative assessment.
Lectures are offered in English for students with matric. If the student does not hold a matric certificate, there is a FLC program available, 88895 Foundation learning certificate – math literacy and English communication.
This Level enables learners to develop the skills required to become professional hairdressers. This is the first of three levels of which culminate in a professional hairdressing qualification.
Perform cutting services for ladies andgents, Perform long hair styling and colouring services, Perform Chemical services to Hair, Fundamentals.
The College of Cape Town Hairdressing Department offers three South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) qualifications over 3 years.
The course is suitable for those who want to improve their hair styling techniques it will act as a complimentary service that you can provide to clients.
Hair Care (NQF Level 2) training is offered by Tshwane South College. Tshwane South College empowers learners through high quality vocational education and training.
