This workshop will run weekly over 4 weeks and each class is 3 hours long with a 15 minute tea break. Some sewing experience would be ideal but not essential as we will be starting with a beginner friendly tote bag

Set Square Patterns is a working studio that happens to be a shop front, there are no official working hours and we are only open to the public for sewing and pattern cutting workshops. Unfortunately we no longer offer alteration services but happy to say hello if you pop by.
Bettine is an easy-peasy throw-it-over-your-head dress. It has a blousy bodice with a scoop neckline, kimono sleeves that hang softly around the underarm, turn-up cuffs, an elasticated waistline to cinch you in and a flattering tulip skirt.
On this course we will go over all necessary basics to make sure you are comfortable with your sewing machine. We will cover everything a beginner needs to know that will leave you confident to take the next step towards other classes.
This course will enable students to make traditional wearable garments. Come along to join our creative sewing class to enhance your sewing skills. During this course you will learn many new sewing techniques and methods in drafting sewing patterns for wearable garments.
Another opportunity to learn how to maintain your sewing machine. Many of you know Tom, our lovely Service Engineer who looks after and services all makes of sewing machines and overlockers. Today Tom is with us for a short workshop taking you through basic maintenance of your machine.
This is a techniques based course for anyone interested in learning the skills needed to make good quality, well fitted trousers, shorts or jeans. The skills are transferable for other garments such as jean skirts, jumpsuits etc.
