Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment And Risk Control (HIRARC)

HIRARC comprises 3 components namely; HI – Hazard Identification, RA – Risk Assessment and RC – Risk Control. DOSH introduced Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) Guidelines in 2008 in line with its approach of Preventive Measures as a way of enforcing the law on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). HIRARC replaces Job Safety Analysis which was more of a voluntary initiative.

With HIRARC, one will be able to identify hazard, analyze and assess its associated risk and then apply the suitable control measures.

This course will help participants understand the HIRARC procedures to enhance safe work environment, prevent injury and other mishaps.
