The Hazardous Area Awareness course provides the knowledge for personnel working within or around explosive environments of the importance of the associated standards, regulations, worker competencies and risks associated with working in these areas.

 

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is intended to be delivered to anyone whom requires an general understanding or working within an explosive environment.

 

 

Course Outcomes

The course will cover:

  • Nature of fire and explosion

  • Basics of hazardous area classification

  • Standards and regulations

  • Overview of explosion-protection techniques

  • General safety in hazardous areas

Successful students will be issued with a Certificate of attendance upon completion
