Hazardous Energy: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

The Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) standard requires the implementation of practices and procedures to shut down machineries or equipment and isolate it from its energy source(s) to prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy or unexpected start-up while maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.

Performing an effective LOTO procedure requires knowledge about the type energy supplied, the potential hazards and the control protocols.

This course will help participants understand the LOTO procedures that will enhance safety compliance and preventing injury during the maintenance, upgrade or services of the machines or equipment.
