Recognise a hazardous materials incident
Identify and assess hazards
Assist with the implementation of the plan for the mitigation of the HAZMAT incident
Assist with the development of a plan for the mitigation of the HAZMAT incident

Select and don protective clothing
Don and test protective equipment
Work in area of operations

Assessment
Assessment of knowledge will be conducted by use of a workbook and verbal questioning. Participants will also be required to demonstrate competence through a range of practical activities

The Operate Breathing Apparatus course focuses on providing participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely use open circuit compressed air breathing apparatus. This course can be combined with the Confined Space Entry course MSMPER205.
