Hazardous Substances In The Working Place

This unit standard requires of learners to demonstrate the ability to monitor, advise and report on compliance with legislation regarding hazardous substances.                                                              

Outcomes:                       

• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to the application of methods in preventing exposure to hazardous substances in a workplace            
• Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to the classification, physical state, health effects and disposal methods of hazardous substances in a workplace. 
• Monitor, advise and report on the scope and understanding of the specified requirements as regards to hazardous substances in a work place.
