Health and Skincare

The health and skincare program is comprised of two years. The first year will equip the
student with an in-depth understanding of the skin and other therapies, while the second year
will allow the students to understand the body more as well as re-in force their knowledge from
year one.

Students also have the option to do their ITEC exam through us, which if done in both year 1
and year 2, they will receive their health and skincare diploma.

Students will only receive their certificates after they are found competent at the end of their second year

1st year: Beauty Specialist

Entry requirements: 18 years old or Matric certificate

Duration: 1 year

Subjects:

• Anatomy and physiology

• Beauty therapy theory and practical (facials, waxing, manicure, pedicure, make-up

• application)

• Nutrition

• Applied chemistry and physics

• Professional conduct

• Electrical therapies

2nd year: Body Therapy

Entry requirements: Completion of first year

Duration: 1 year

• Body therapy theory and practical (Swedish massage and figure diagnosis)

• Hot stone massage

• Indian head massage

• Massage with pre-blended oils

• Vita flex foot massage

• Applied chemistry and physics

• Electrical therapies
