Hip Hop is a popular form of dance that includes many sub genres such as: locking, popping, house, breakdancing, party dancing, old school, tutting, animation etc. The technique for different styles of Hip Hop will be taught and emphasis will be placed on musicality and groove.

Join in on the fun in our hip hop-inspired classes which are choreography focused, and occasionally draw influence from popping, locking and jazz funk. Primary to Level 12 students perform in both our December and June performances.
Hip-hop dance refers to dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles notably breaking, locking, and popping.
At UEZ we have several different dance styles related to street dance and commercial dance.
Hip Hop is very popular with students who enjoy social school dances or Commercial Rock videos. For a novice dancer who has no prior dance experience, Hip Hop is a great introduction.
