Students will be encouraged to step outside the box and bring their own individual style and personality to the movements. No previous Hip-Hop experience required. Comfortable clothing and clean sneakers required. Hip hop classes are leveled according to the complexity of the choreography and the speed with which it’s introduced, not the caliber of the student.

Hip Hop I is for ages 6-8 and Hip Hop II is for ages 9-12. These are great classes where children can be themselves and develop their own styles and movement. Students learn the basics of hip hop, including aspects of break dancing and video movement
Advanced Hip Hop (ages 8 & up) classes are offered by Nieves Latin Dance Studio. All Children are required to wear their uniforms to class.

This class is a joyful growing experience, where you will learn dance through the lens of hip hop culture and history. It will help you understand rhythm, and music, while you get a better understanding of your body through rhythmic exercises and hip hop fundamentals.
