Hip hop moves are inspired by complex & versatile rhythms; this dance style appeals to everyone! Â Hip hop can be performed by anyone who wants to learn - the dance's use of music makes it fun to perform as it captivates audience and dancer alike with its mixture of both sharp and fluid movements.
Dancers are often encouraged to show their creativity through improvisation, referred to as “freestyling"
Classes range from 30 minutes to an hour. Students should wear a bodysuit, fitted top or t-shirt and jazz pants, leggings or joggers are acceptable. Jazz shoes or ballet slippers are acceptable.
Explore a fusion of different urban dance styles such as hip-hop, popping, locking, and break as well as freestyle movement. Develop your focus, strength and musicality, define your own style and learn how to associate your inner rhythms with precision and emotion.
A street style dance class with a relaxed but fun atmosphere! Dancers work on their strength and cardio through energetic warm ups. They dance down the floor working on musicality, accent work, tricks, and footwork. Classes are finished up with combos in various sub-genres of hip-hop.
