HNC Business with Human Resource Management

Overview

The HNC Business with Human Resource (HR) at SCQF level 7 is designed to provide an alternative study option for those who are considering a career in Human Resource Management and want the necessary skills required to work within a business.   

The course is suitable for learners wishing to gain an overall knowledge of what the Human Resource Function is and how Human Resource Management fits into an organisation.  Learners will also gain an understanding of the historical changes within the Human Resource Function.

In addition learners will also gain valuable skills required to work within an organisation such as; marketing, economics, business law and accounting.

Entry

One of the following:

1 relevant* Higher at C grade or above OR
an appropriate grouping of National 5 and/or Intermediate 2 and Higher units or
Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills or
NQ Business or similar

The course is suitable for school leavers, adults returning to education or those in employment who wish to enhance their career prospects. Please note that each applicant is considered on an individual basis and previous work experience and prior learning will be taken into consideration.  

*Relevant subjects include Accounting, Business Management, English, Mathematics, Geography, History and a Science Subject.
