The Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management offers a four-year program for entering freshmen and transfer students for study in one of the fastest growing professions in the world.
Each student majoring in hospitality and tourism management must complete an internship in his or her area of concentration. These are structured, professionally supervised experiences where students spend 130 hours with a company or organization’s leadership, as well as execute a curated project.
In addition to the internship, students are encouraged to study abroad, participate in our mentoring program and get involved in our HTM club Hospitalented. Students take active roles in such major events as "Art in a Bottle," "Not So Scary Foods," "Airline Expo," and "HospiChallenge."
Industry Connections
Through coursework, internships and various programs, students are exposed to professionals employed in every corner of the industry. With our ‘Skip the Line’ program, students often go directly to the interview stage for jobs or internships they are vying for.

Independent and coeducational, St. Joseph's prepares students for lives of integrity, intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, social responsibility and service; lives that are worthy of the University's motto, Esse non videri — "To be, not to seem."
Our Long Island campus challenges its approximately 3,000 students to develop their full potential and a joy of learning. With more than 400 faculty members, the University enjoys a student-to-faculty ratio that provides individual attention in an open, supportive atmosphere.
The Long Island campus is located in Patchogue at 155 W. Roe Blvd., directly off Sunrise Highway. New York City is just a short ride on the Long Island Rail Road.
Campus facilities include six buildings and the Outdoor Field Complex, spread over a 32-acre lakeside campus on the outskirts of Patchogue Village.
St. Joseph's remains dedicated to maintaining low costs while upholding a strict standard of excellence. While retention rates at most colleges are slipping, St. Joseph's remains above the national average.
