Course Description
German 1411, Beginning German I, is a four-credit-hour course which meets five hours per week. It is the first semester of a comprehensive four-semester beginning and intermediate(1411-1412, 2311-2312) sequence in which you will learn to listen to, speak, read, and write German.
Vocabulary, language patterns, and grammar are introduced and applied in the context of practical communication. German 1411 is a core curriculum course which transfers to universities as a foreign language credit.
