Students explore issues and methods for the collection, analysis, and reporting of data pertaining to an organization’s workforce and operation of HR Programs. Individually and in groups, students develop and demonstrate skills and knowledge that enable them to design, develop, and complete an evaluation of an HR program.
This includes use of statistical and logical methods for determining the impact and efficiency of a program towards an objective. Students learn methods and styles that meaningfully inform leaders, workers, and other stakeholders about workforce metrics and program evaluation findings.

This 12-week course will introduce contemporary human resources (HR) practices. Human resources have become critical to organizational, team and individual successes. The course will begin with an overview of the strategies and outcomes, as well as some of the main challenges.
This introductory course in payroll includes a study of employment standards, designation of individuals as employees or contractors, record-keeping requirements, payroll calculations, taxable and non-taxable benefits, payroll journal entries, reporting requirements, and employee termination.
The National Payroll Institute (formerly known as Canadian Payroll Association) offers the only payroll designations in Canada: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP).
During this course, students will learn some fundamental principles of how the mind and brain work through the lens of psychology and neuroscience, which specifically relate to the formation of biases, discrimination, categorization, and in-group/out-group thinking.
