The primary purpose of the IADC RigPass certification is to provide new operators with basic instruction in safe rig operation and operation. Participants who have completed accredited IADC RigPass training have met basic safety procedure requirements as defined by the drilling industry.
Upon completion, the employee will be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of applicable laws and government agencies, facility-wide safety procedures, incident and environmental safety reporting systems, service personnel employment relationships , and professional responsibilities.
The training program is divided into 3 sections, the "Core Course" section with 10 modules, the "Offshore" section, and the "Onshore" section At the end of each sub-module there is an exam that all delegates must pass.
