The International English Language Testing System or IELTS is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speaker.

IELTS is accepted by most Australian, British, Canadian, Irish and New Zealand academic Institutions in the US and by various professional organizations across the world.
No minimum score required to pass the test. An IELTS result and test report to issued to all test takers with a score from " band 1"("non users") to "band 9"("expert users") and each Institution sets are different threshold. There is also " band 0" score for those did not attempt the test.
