IELTS Preparation

I'm an experienced IELTS tutor and I can help you achieve the Band Score you need in the IELTS exam. I teach both Academic and General IELTS, and we have an extensive range of resources, including past exam papers and high quality audio.

Together, we can agree on a course of lessons that focuses on the areas where you need most improvement whether it's Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary or Grammar.

• For students preparing for the Academic or General IELTS exam who are aiming for a  Band Score from 5.0 to 7.5.

• Lessons are customised to meet each student's needs in Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing, and academic Vocabulary and Grammar essential for IELTS. For example, if you require most improvement in Writing Task 2 - essay writing, then more lesson time and resources can be focused on Writing Task 2.

• Strategies and skills are taught for how to approach each part of the IELTS exam so that you can maximise the use of the time available. This includes which writing task it's best to do first and how much time to spend planning for each writing task, the best order to approach the reading questions, and strategies for each of the reading and listening question types.

• Writing tasks are prepared for and taught during the lessons, but the actual writing task is usually set for homework.  The completed writing is then sent by the student to the teacher before the next lesson. The teacher can then mark the writing homework and provide feedback effectively to the student during the lesson. There is no extra cost for the marking of Writing Task 1 or Writing Task 2 homework.
