Students will focus on IELTS exam strategies and techniques to ensure they are familiar and confident with the format of the IELTS exam. The IELTS intensive course requires students to complete independent study and homework tasks after class Course Content Skills training Sessions will focus on improving general competence in all IELTS's four skills.
Sessions will focus on how to develop these skills to effectively complete the IELTS exam. Vocabulary and Grammar accuracy (academic vocabulary) Developing skills for listening and reading (gap-fill, skimming and scanning texts, anticipating answers) Developing skills for speaking and writing (formal and informal writing, expressing opinions on a range of topics, topic-specific vocabulary) Examination Practice & Speaking test Students will spend 1 hour per day on specific exam practice with a particular emphasis on speaking skills parts 2 & 3 of the speaking exam.
