Overview
The programmes are centered on professional coaching and supervision for introducing coaching in the workplace. Students gain a sound understanding of the role of the coach and good practice in coaching which enables them to plan and organise coaching in their workplace. As they undertake the coaching programme, students use feedback in supervision sessions to reflect on and develop their effectiveness
Aims & Objectives
To understand how coaching works and how it can benefit you as a manager
To be learn about different coaching techniques, tools and the skills required to be an effective coach
To put into practice these skills by completing coaching sessions as part of the programme
To identify areas for improvement in your coaching ability and plan how to address them
To be able to use coaching to improve the performance of the team
From an organisational perspective, to encourage and develop a coaching culture by developing managers into effective coaches
Duration
The duration of this course is dependent on the units chosen at the time of booking.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites, this programme is aimed at first line managers who want to develop the skills of their team using coaching methods.
It is a 3 day programme and delegates will need to complete 6 hours of coaching between day 2 and day 3 (so they need to have people they can practice their coaching skills on). They will also be required to keep a coaching diary which forms part of their assessment (there are 3 assignments that need to be completed)

Certification
On completion of the ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching, candidates will be awarded their certificate from City and Guilds. The certificate details all individual units completed as part of the overall programme.
