University of San Diego's English Language Academy (ELA) maintains a rigorous academic course of study, with a focus on five core skills and TOEFL preparation. Many of our successful graduates have gone on to undergraduate and graduate programs across the country.
Learning Outcomes:
The University of San Diego is set at the edge of an international gateway on a campus that's consistently ranked among the nation's most beautiful.
Our focus on academic excellence — inspired by faith, infused with contemporary Catholic values and nurtured in a warm, community environment — empowers innovative, confident, original thinkers to make positive contributions by confronting humanity's urgent challenges in places near and far.
USD is located in one of the world’s great diverse urban centers. San Diego's proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border, where communities and cultures converge, provides our students and faculty members with unique opportunities to learn, to put theory into action and to find new ways to lead purposeful lives.
Students will be introduced to strategies and techniques to approach the various question types and will be able to manage the time limits of each section of the TOEFL test.
Taking the TOEFL® is a necessary step for any non-US educated student who wants to study in North America. It is also increasingly required from other educational institutions throughout the world, as well as a desired or mandatory job qualification.
All English classes are held 4 days a week.
ECI Program offers comprehensive academic curriculum and exceptional student services, ensuring that the students receive the best education as well as a fun cultural experience.
We take an organic, hands-on approach, which is how we all learned our native language. We practice speaking Spanish (or English) through real conversation. We talk about our day to day lives, we play games and we discuss random, thought-provoking topics.
