This year-long Design program is structured to be an in-depth, comprehensive look at all aspects of design, and a study of all the necessary tools needed to become a competent, professional interior-designer. It is a tailor-made program for students who are willing to work hard and challenge themselves to develop into successful designers.
In the Design Theory & Design Construction courses you will learn the fundamentals of design and construction simultaneously. Both courses explore space-planning, as well as implementing design solutions that fit the client’s wants and needs for both aesthetics and functionality.
You will also be introduced to the workflow necessary for success — from research and idea development, to executing your ideas and presenting your finished project.
You will learn all about construction methods and techniques, building codes and practices, as well as collaboration with builders and other construction-industry contractors.
You will develop a knowledge for all aspects of design; color theory, historical eras, space planning, full home design, kitchen and bath, lighting and materials, and business practices.
Proper drafting and rendering skills are crucial for any successful interior designer. You will be taught these skills using traditional techniques as well as the modern-day software most widely used; Autocad and Revit.
Autocad is used to create precise, technical construction documents such as floor plans and elevations. Revit is BIM software used to create model-based projects that bring drawings to life in impressive 2D and 3D rendering.
Design Alive is at the forefront of design education in the Jewish world today. Our four years of successful graduates numbering in the hundreds, attest to the success of our innovative teaching and our devoted instructors.
Our students enter their chosen fields with outstanding portfolios and more impressively, the skills used to create those pieces of work. And they refer their success onward. We are proud that close to 80% of our student body is the result of the warm recommendations of our previous students.
As a result of attending this training, you will be able to create, modify and work with 2D drawings within AutoCAD, helping you to comfortably use these skills on a day to day basis.
You’ll learn to navigate the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT user interfaces, use the fundamental features of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT, use the precision drafting tools in AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT to develop accurate technical drawings and present drawings in a detailed and visually impressive way.
Course aim to document technical working drawings in AutoCAD, including floor plans and elevations. To gain a solid foundation upon which to further explore the program and its potential. and to learn the key tools and steps in creating finished working drawings.
CATIA is a graphic design software for computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing. Using CATIA, users can create and automate 2D and 3D models.
Upon completion of this course, the student will learn to use AutoCAD and create accurate 2D drawings, setup drawings that can be reused, develop template files.
