Our mission at Emjay Dance Academy is to provide students of all levels with more than just dance classes, but a unique experience in which the student can grow both mentally and physically as a dancer and performer.
Our highly trained and certified instructors have a wealth of experience in teaching and performing various styles and disciplines.
We provide fantastic opportunities for our students with industry experts. Every other year all students are invited (if they wish) to perform in the spectacular Emjay Show, performed on stage.
This class introduces little ones to basic tap technique, whilst encouraging confidence, and trains students for basic tap examinations.
Pupils are taken for this subject from age 4. Good tap technique, rhythm, performance & enjoyment are the aims of these classes. Pupils are entered for Grade Exams & Tap Award Exams with the ISTD. Each tap class performs a routine in the annual show.
Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals such as; Anything Goes, 42nd Street, Book of Mormon and Billy Elliot. The classes are technique based with opportunities to take ISTD examinations from primary to ADV2 level.
Adult Tap classes are offered by Hilda Riches School.Hilda Riches School of Dancing is committed to making dance available to everyone by offering flexible and affordable teaching to suit you!
Tap classes are offered by Hype Dance Company. We aim to provide opportunities for all to realise their creative potential through dance.
