Photography is based on a combination of 3 elements (sensor sensitivity + shutter speed + aperture) and these are important to understand and simple to demonstrate.
Photography often paves the way for a more outdoor life, as animals, especially birds and insects, make great photography subjects. Many famous naturalists were avid photographers first. Our aim is to have students understand what they are doing when taking a photograph and how to adjust settings manually instead of relying on the camera to take the photo. This will expand your creative ability and help you understand why photos weren’t turning out right!
Our tours are unique in that the itineraries have been designed by a Cape York local and an ecologist, Cockatours Owner, Rossy. Cockatours has evolved over the years and is now a team of excellent guides and cooks under the guidance of Rossy.
Running tours in two larger trucks, and one smaller private vehicle we explore Cape York and the Gulf Savannah on our camping tours. We pride ourselves on continually researching & improving our tours and looking for the latest and most unique tours and places around. Our tours primarily run between May and September each year. We also offer youth camps & motivational speaking.
The course is designed to benefit those who are starting out in Photography and would love to learn where everything is on their camera, how to adjust it, how to import images to their computer, add a basic edit & then export them ready to publish or share with friends and family.
This course is designed for those who wants to start shooting weddings as an interests or professionally. Unlike other courses out there, you get one on one attention from an experienced and successful wedding photographer, everything you need to know from the very start to finish.
These extended programs offer an abundance of gourmet inspiration and professional tuition, with all accommodation and meals covered.
