You will learn about and practice how to apply basic make-up, nail techniques, make-up application. Understand client care and communication in beauty-related industries. Follow health and safety practise in the salon.
There will be a mixture of tutor demonstrations, class activities, working in groups and as individuals.
Most courses will have some distance online learning, so a laptop/tablet/smartphone and internet access will be needed to study. You can discuss this when you enrol. We may be able to help.
You will need basic digital skills to work online
You will need to keep your work organised in a file
To enrol you must complete an initial assessment and pass at Entry 2/3
What could this course lead to?
When you have successfully completed this course, you may be able to progress onto L2 Beauty Specialist or another course with the Adult Learning Service (ALS)
