Master hand and power tools to elevate your woodworking skills! In this advanced class, you will get a review of tools and their proper usage as well as individualized guidance and demonstrations on advanced design.
Practical hands-on skills training to provide a solid foundation of technical skills preparing students for work in a wide variety of jobs in the wood products manufacturing industry.
This class is designed to be the core introductory class that covers good studio practices while learning how to safely use all of the equipment and tools in the main woodworking studio. It will also be the primary prerequisite class for most of the more advanced woodworking classes.
In this course we'll cover the basics of traditional joinery including hand-cut as well as machine cut dovetails, mortise and tenons, miters, rabbets, and dados.
In this class you will learn the basics of woodworking. You’ll learn how to cut, sand, glue up, and finish. You’ll also be able to take the project home that you begin.
