This course is designed for the beginner looking to gain a basic introduction to woodworking skills and build their confidence in a professional wood shop environment. In this class each student will work side by side with our expert instructor and make a small step stool in just one day!
Do you have an interest in woodworking? Are you comfortable working with hand tools and power tools? Do you have a good understanding of basic math concepts?
Our Denver beginner woodworking classes are for individuals with little or no experience. We start with the basics for all your future woodworking projects. We pick our lumber, mill it to size, glue panels where necessary, and learn a basic but strong method of joinery.
This course is designed for the beginning wood turner. All students receive demonstrations on how to prepare a wood blank for spindle turning, how to glue up wood properly for success during turning, machine and tool vocabulary and safety
Learn the elegant art of working wood by hand. We cover the basics of wood as a material, tool selection, and sharpening. We welcome total beginners, history buffs and “makers.” Hand tools are a wonderful and practical way to work wood in a small space like an apartment.
