This class will focus on Still Life and lighting, Perspective, and how to work from a grid, in order to produce high quality images with minimal native talent.

The class will be catered towards beginners who will learn step by step to create realistic and beautiful paintings with traditional knowledge passed down from the renaissance era.
Painting & Drawing class is offered by Color Me Empowered for all skill level. Color Me Empowered was organized in 2008 by Kristen E. Rice, an art teacher at Polk Elementary in Dallas ISD. We work with school-aged children in out-of-school-time and in-school programs in the Dallas area.
Various crafts are used for younger students as well as for seasonal activities.Students use drawing, paintings and sculptural techniques on craft activities.
Learning the basics of light painting gives us new ways to creatively experiment with the color and qualities of the light source and with the aesthetics of the photograph.
In Painting class students will learn to master various painting techniques to create stunning textures and forms. They will learn skills such as dry brush, blending, layering, paint sketching, wet painting, layering, patience, and proportions.
