The course includes Career Opportunities, History of Esthetics, Professional Image, Life Skills, Communicating for Success, Ethics, State Board Rules and Regulations, OSHA Standards, Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, Infection Control, Skin Physiology, Skin Analysis, Skin Care Products, and Liability and Risk Management, Introduction to Basic Facial and Hand and Arm Massage.

USTA’s aesthetics program includes multiple levels of training. Our curriculum includes advanced skin care education, makeup application, hair removal procedures, safety, and sanitation and sterilization as well as business entrepreneurship courses.
Our esthetician educators know the value of good, healthy skin, and how life changing it can be to look and feel your best. Immerse yourself in training and learn how to help clients glow from the inside out through facials, waxing, makeup, and more.
Esthetics (skin care) is a 600 clocked hour course, as required by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology to to apply for the license examination. The program consists of theory, practical training and technical instruction including all practices of skin care.
Combining hands-on experience with didactic learning, our estheticians become masters of the diagnosis, treatment, and basic understanding of the skin.
