Mindfulness can help us step out of the automatic pilot and learn to fully engage with what is unfolding in the moment, rather than be lost in thoughts that are limiting at best and catastrophic at their worst as indicated by Mark Twain’s quote “I’ve lived through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.”
Research indicates that the practice of mindfulness can benefit physical and psychological well-being and has been applied successfully to the treatment of anxiety, depression and ADHD, and for chronic pain, menopause and stress management. In addition this practice has been shown to benefit parents, teachers, athletes, and politicians.
In this half-day workshop you will:
The workshop consists of psycho-education, variety of mindfulness practice and group discussions. This workshop is recommended for people who are interested in learning more about mindfulness or are ready to incorporate some practices into their daily life.
Cost:
$250 (Including taxes, please check with your insurance plan before registering for the course if you plan to seek reimbursement. Participants experiences with their insurance plans have varied in the past. Most insurance companies in Canada, have a history of covering this course.)
