The course reflects national standards and industry best practices and is fully accredited in line with IPAF. Delegates must pass the theory and practical assessments to receive an IPAF Site Assessment qualification and an IPAF Certificate of Training.
Course Programme
The course content includes:
Best practice and industry guidance on subjects including:
Height, reach, up-and-over height,
The weight of people
All required materials and tools
The environment the MEWP is working in
Any restrictions or hazards
Selected MEWP set-up and disassembly
MEWP accessories
All permits and documentation required to justify the selection
On Completion
At the end of the training, successful delegates will:
Be aware of the relevant Health & Safety Regulations for MEWP operations
Be confident in selecting appropriate MEWP equipment
Understand the needs regarding personnel protection
Know how to refer to the appropriate operating manual
Successful candidates will receive the IPAF Site assessment qualification and an IPAF Certificate of Training. This course qualification has no expiry date. Delegates will also have access to the IPAF ePAL app where their certificate is stored. Available on Android and iOS smartphones, the app also includes their logbook and safety information. Please note that hardcopy PAL cards and certificates must be arranged with the training department before the course start date, with an additional charge of £15.00, plus VAT.
