In addition to making the new version of ISO 22000 easier to integrate with other ISO management systems, it also introduces the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and risk-based thinking. By combining PDCA and risk-based thinking, the standard provides a framework for an organization to manage business risks with HACCP to identify, prevent, and control food safety hazards.
