Japanese is an East Asian language spoken by about 128 million people, primarily in Japan, where it is the national language. Japanese Language is known as a member of the Japonic language family, and its relation to other languages, such as Korean, is debated. Japonic languages have been grouped with other language families such as Ainu, Austroasiatic, and now-discredited Altaic, but none of these proposals has gained widespread acceptance

 About the course:

There are five levels to be complete for gaining a strong command over the specific language. The Modules are as follows:

• N5– It is specially designed for beginners. Candidates are expected to learn Hiragana, Katakana, around 100 Kanji (Chinese characters), their various readings and pronunciations, as well as around 400-500 Japanese wordsand the basic rudiments of Japanese Grammar.
• N4– One can listen and comprehend conversations encountered in daily life and generally follow their contents, provided that they are spoken slowly. 300 Kanji, as well as around 1500 words of Japanese.
• N3– One can listen, read and comprehend coherent conversations in everyday situations, spoken at near-natural speed, and is generally able to follow their contents as well as grasp the relationship among the people involved. 600 to 700 Kanji as well as around 3000 to 4000 words of Japanese.

Exam and Certification:

There is a separate exam for all the levels. Students, according to their skills can appear for any level examination to have a recognized certificate. An external student, who wanted to join in between, can give the previous level exams at the time of joining and after clearing that can be a part of signified Level. The Certificate will be provided after completion of course. If a person wants to pursue the language as his or her career choice then that student can earn points for preferential treatment for immigration to Japan. You can gain 15 and 10 points for JLPT N1 and N2 respectively under the government’s “Point-based Preferential Immigration Treatment System for Highly Skilled Foreign Professionals.” If you have a total of 70 points or higher, you will receive preferential treatment at immigration.

About JLPT Examination:

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was developed in Japan and has been offered since 1984 across the globe, including India. JLPT is a standardized criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify the proficiency of the Japanese language of non-native learners of Japanese. It covers Japanese language knowledge, reading comprehension, and listening skills. In Japan, It has been administered by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, while the Japan Foundation administers overseas tests. The JLPT is held worldwide to evaluate and certify proficiency in Japanese of non-native speakers.

• Examination Pattern of JLPT 2020

Generally in order to obtain the Diploma students must pass some sections of the exam, as listed below:

• For N3, N2, N1:

There are three sections.

• Vocabulary & Grammar
• Reading
• Listening
• For N5, N4 :

There are only two sections.

• Vocabulary & Grammar and Reading,

Japanese-Language Proficiency Test Certificate of Result and Scores” is issued for the purpose of admission to advanced education or finding employment. This certificate contains fail/pass results and scores for each scoring section. It can be used as official proof for schools and companies.
