Class will also start with a warm-up and stretch to develop and improve flexibility.
Dance Dimensions is Regina’s northwest dance studio offering classes in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Tiny tot/Combination classes for ages 3-6 years, and more.
Classes are available under the direction of Kara Chernishenko (Member Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) ~Stage Tap & Jazz. With exam classes offered in Tap, Jazz & Ballet (Shayla Brown Member CDTA – Ballet Div.)
Basic Jazz technique – posture control, weight placement, core strength – is very similar to Ballet, so Ballet training is often helpful for the Jazz dancer. Jumps and turns are prominent in Jazz training, and dances are usually performed to upbeat music with style.
Dimensions in Dance currently offers Adult Dance in: Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap. The classes are designed to give the student a great workout while teaching basic technique. All dancers are welcome. No experience is necessary.
Typical class structure continues starting with a warm-up and muscle stretch to develop and improve flexibility. Emphasis is placed on the importance of energy, rhythmical accuracy, and style.
This lively class works to improve technique, stamina, and flexibility. Every style of jazz is incorporated from contemporary to funk. Our students will definitely learn to ‘Feel da FX Rhythm’!
Children's Jazz Dance course is offered by Dance Studio East. It is our mission to provide our students with quality instruction so they can attain a level of professionalism without leaving the province.
