Jazz…a forever-changing dance style since the 1920s. Dances like the Charleston are known as Jazz, but so are the styles of Bob Fosse & Alvin Ailey. Jazz is energetic & fun, consisting of moves, footwork, leaps & turns.
Jazz Tech is designed for serious students wishing to excel in jazz by taking two jazz classes per week. Jazz is your first class, and you would add Jazz Tech as your second jazz class. Jazz Tech is a wonderful compliment to jazz with an emphasis on flexibility exercises, contemporary
Students age 10 & over will receive a 45 min. class once a week for the 10 week session. (Session begins in September and once again in January). Jazz is a high energy style of dance and the class consists of basic jazz steps, traveling steps & mini combinations.
Starting at the age of four, our jazz program includes upbeat and current music. Our jazz students thrive in different genres of dance, and have the opportunity to showcase their sassy side! Our jazz program is complimented by the flex and progressions classes
Students will learn body isolations, progressions across the floor, and develop their rhythmic accuracy and style. Dancers will also apply technical skills and jazz dance elements in choreographed combinations.
