As such, Jazz Ballet allows the dancers more freedom to diverse into lyrical or even slight funk forms and at the same time, provides dancers with extended lines and classy stature.
Jazz Ballet also places an emphasis on flexibility and strength to accentuate expression of the dancers.
Established in 2005, Dancepointe Academy; Singapore Premier Dance Academy, has been providing invaluable dance education for dancers as young as 3 years old, through to professional levels such as Teachers and Company Dancers.
It started as a single brand Dancepointe, and later on in 2013, Dancepointe Academy was evolved as an umbrella to rebrand other dance genres into various faculties such as 5th Avenue School of Jazz & Street Dance, Dance Factory School of Kpop Dance and dACADEMY School of Contemporary Dance. Over the years, Dancepointe has grown to become one of the best ballet schools in Singapore.
Under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers’ Dancing (CSTD) syllabi, Dancepointe offers comprehensive Classical Ballet classes in Singapore through a progressive curriculum designed for children of 3 years old through to Professional levels such as Performer and Teaching Career.
We also bring in other dance certifications such as the CSTD (Commonwealth), ATOD (Australia) & RSL (U.K) for our Jazz , Hip Hop and Contemporary courses, now under our other brand names 5th Avenue, Dance Factory and dACADEMY.
This class focuses on integrating singing, dancing, and acting into a performance piece. Lessons will prepare them for one jazz dance piece and one song & dance.
Learn the basics of Modern Jazz! In this class, your child will learn and strengthen their jazz dance techniques. The recommended age for this class is 6 to 12 years old.
The Little Stars have a choice of learning a mix of jazz and tap or ballet and jazz.
Our Jazz Dance Class fuses the funky and groovy elements of hip hop with jazz techniques and movement.
Dancers will be taught a variety of performance styles including lyrical jazz and modern jazz.
