We will continue to emphasize proper posture, muscle development, flexibility, musicality, and grace of movement through beginner level combinations. Students are expected to know basic dance vocabulary and have a desire to improve their strength and technique.
The Koresh Dance Company is fully dedicated to the enrichment of the cultural landscape and artistic reputation of Philadelphia. It is important to us to sustain a group of dancers and an administrative staff on salary, so that we can fully dedicate ourselves to our mission.
A two hour class that consists of ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Dancers perform four routines, one in each genre, in our annual recital. At this level, dancers also perform in our finale number at recital.
Students will learn the defining movement concepts of jazz dance including isolations of the body, grounded musicality, improving performance quality and developing a capacity for complex rhythms and movement patterns
Jazz Dance Class is offered by Dansations Performing Arts Center. Dansations Performing Arts Center has been offering dance classes to the Jacksonville area for over 20 years.
Working towards full height battments, extensions and leaps (right/left/center). Float leaps, chaine jete introduced. Double Pirouettes required.
