In Jazz, students will engage in learning and executing jazz technique and performance skills by using a mixture of methodologies, most which are ballet based. Movement qualities include clean strong lines, isolations, and syncopated rhythms.

Movement qualities include clean strong lines, isolations, and syncopated rhythms. Core skills as well as body conditioning are very important as we explore the different genres of jazz.
Danielle’s dream began at the tender age of four, when she started dancing with June Neal Key in Kansas City, Kansas, then furthered her training at age nine with Lisa Stickelman Dillinger and Flo Klenklen at the State Ballet of Missouri (now the Kansas City Ballet School).
Danielle continued her dance education at the Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts in Natick, Massachusetts with Michael Owen, Sydelle Gomberg, the late Samuel Kirkjian, and Tamara King, and was a member of their National Youth Ballet for two seasons.
During that time she also attended several summer programs including the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education.
This class is an eclectic blend of styles, heavily influenced by Fosse and Luigi techniques, utilizing popular music of the past and present. This fun class builds the technical and expressive abilities necessary for concert jazz and musical theater venues.
Level I jazz is a high energy class set to popular music that focuses on rhythm, isolations and style. Students will develop a foundation of basic jazz technique including jumps, pirouettes, across the floor progressions and stylized movement.
Dancers will have fun and feel sassy, joyful, and empowered in this class that focuses on isolating the different parts of our bodies to upbeat and exciting music
Jazz Dance Classes are offered by Los Angeles Music and Art School .
Working towards full height battments, extensions and leaps (right/left/center). Float leaps, chaine jete introduced. Double Pirouettes required.
