The earliest stages of learning to use our muscles to begin to create the posture and turnout associated with the study of classical ballet is complemented with the musicality and coordination of learning jazz and contemporary movement.
These styles of movement and music are not only fun for the dancers but an integral part of fostering coordination, increasing movement vocabulary and musicality as well as helping the dancers grow in personal confidence and expression through movement.

Jazz is a form of dance that is directed by the sounds, rhythms and techniques of jazz music. Our Jazz classes combine classic and contemporary Jazz techniques while introducing stylization of movement. Emphasis is placed on proper body alignment, execution of movement, strength and conditioning

Energetic and fun, this class teaches simple jazz dance combinations, leaps and turns. Students will develop technique, flexibility, body isolations, and musicality while practicing group dynamics
Teen Jazz includes complex combinations. Students are going to master multiple turns, quicker jumps (etc.) with further development of technique and style.
Jazz Dance Classes are offered by Contemporary Academy of Dance for Juniors of all skill level. We provide our students with a safe, encouraging, and fun environment to learn a variety of dance styles.
