From beginner to advanced, young to old, the Shelley Shearer School of Dance offers a wide variety of classes and class times to suit all needs. Through our own Jazz dance syllabus, students are exposed to a wide variety of Jazz dance styles and music.

Through our own Jazz dance syllabus, students are exposed to a wide variety of Jazz dance styles and music. Developed over 35 years of instruction and collaboration, it continues to evolve every year. Our Jazz program has proven to be a phenomenal success in guiding our students from beginner levels to professional careers.
Using current radio hits and new cutting edge choreography, our program helps develop flexibility, core strength and progresses our students through the early stages of technique, turns and jumps. We understand that Jazz is ever evolving, so we are proud to be able to host guest workshops in our studio with some of the top new choreographers and dancers in the world.
Every student’s year culminates in the annual performances in June at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall. We’ll see you on stage!
Shelley Shearer School of Dance is the leader in the Winnipeg Dance Community for Recreational, Competitive & Professional dance education. With a world class faculty & facility, we are known for our integrity, passion & professionalism.
A high energy class featuring a variety of movement and styles. Classes consist of warm-up and barre exercises, as well as progressions, improvisation, combinations and routines.
Stretch and Technique classes as well as choreography classes. Includes many different and exciting styles
Students will focus on movements such as leaps, jumps and flexibility. Students are required to wear a body suit or fitted top with spandex shorts, leggings or tights.
Jazz Dance course is offered by Dance Studio East. It is our mission to provide our students with quality instruction so they can attain a level of professionalism without leaving the province.
Dancers will increase their flexibility, strength, coordination and focus, while tapping into an electrifying performance style that is unique to jazz dance.
