Welcome to Synergy Dance Studio, located in south west Austin in the heart of Westlake, where we strive to provide your children with solid technical training as well as an enjoyable and creative dance experience.
Our studio provides a balanced dance education fostering a love of dance and passion for learning while our teachers are caring, supportive and love promoting dance to their students.
Jazz dance is an especially American style of dance that developed in the early 20th century as a direct result of blues and subsequently jazz styles of music and the unique cultures that surrounded them.
This class combines movements and rhythms of merengue, salsa, mambo, lambada, cha cha, and/or samba with traditional jazz dance technique.
Class begins with a structured, progressive warm-up that emphasizes technique and flexibility. Following warm-up, class moves into choreography that is dynamic and energized - be prepared to get moving, and to let that tension go!
Lyrical Jazz is a weekly dance class designed to introduce expression into a dancer’s technical skills. They will learn how to tell a story through their dance as they learn ballet and jazz techniques.
Jazz dancing combines elements of ballet dancing with expressive movement and stretching—almost as though you were mixing ballet and lyrical dance styles. At the same time, it can be done to upbeat music, so you could say that you throw in a pinch of tap or hip-hop, and voila—you have jazz dan...
